Once the installation is in place, how do you control it day to day? A tour of the possible interfaces, and the philosophy that should guide them.
The app and visualisation
An app or a wall screen give an overview: room states, scenes, consumption, temperature. Handy to supervise, adjust remotely or understand what's happening. We configure the display around what's useful to you.
Matter and connected devices
KNX can coexist with the Matter ecosystem: speakers, connected bulbs, consumer devices. The idea isn't to replace everything, but to let the reliable KNX base talk to the more flexible connected layer. Our KNX and Matter guide goes deeper.
Voice control
Turning on a room or launching a scene by voice is real comfort — as a complement, never a replacement for switches. If the assistant fails, the home keeps working normally. That's the golden rule.
The principle: comfort on top, not dependence
All these interfaces are extra layers on a local, autonomous KNX base. Your lights and shutters respond even without internet. That's what sets a real home-automation installation apart from a collection of fragile connected gadgets. See also KNX vs alternatives.
